# STRIX International

> Environmental consultancy and bird-mortality prevention technology for the global wind energy sector.

STRIX is an independent environmental consultancy founded in 2001, specialising in biodiversity science for renewable energy. Our work combines field ecology (bird and bat surveys, seabird observation, baseline and post-construction monitoring), data science (collision risk modelling, impact assessment), and proprietary hardware — most notably RASB, a radar-assisted shutdown-on-demand system that curtails wind turbines in real time to prevent collisions with protected birds. Headquartered in Portugal, STRIX delivers projects across Europe, Africa, and the Americas for wind-farm developers, operators, regulators, and conservation partners.
