The assignment included the creation, testing and refinement of a global avian risk assessment protocol and pilot application of the framework at one site, including suggestions of mitigation measures for the site. The work involved input and review of a global framework to assess risks to avian species from airborne surveys and related activities. This framework was then completed for one pilot site in Europe. Populating the framework will serve as an avian risk assessment to guide any required avoidance or mitigation actions at this pilot site, as well as serve to test and refine the global framework.
