Sales Engineer

Position Overview

STRIX is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the preparation of complex technical-commercial proposals and contribute to business development activities. This cross-functional role involves gathering inputs from internal teams, coordinating with clients, and structuring large-scale proposal documents involving interdisciplinary content. The ideal candidate is methodical, precise, and capable of managing significant volumes of technical and organizational information. This position is ideal for candidates who are structured, proactive, and eager to contribute to the growth of a purpose-oriented consultancy operating at the intersection of technology and ecology.

Mid-level professionals with relevant experience in B2B bidding or junior candidates with exceptional academic performance are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed technical-commercial proposals, in close collaboration with technical departments.

Coordinate and organize internal contributions to ensure timely and consistent proposal delivery.

Maintain well-organized documentation and internal communication throughout the sales process.

Conduct prospecting activities and support outreach to new business leads.

Assist in preparing and delivering client presentations, primarily online.

Participate in occasional international travel for conferences, trade fairs, and client meetings.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of professional experience, or a PhD in engineering.
- Background in Industrial, Electromechanical, Naval, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to write and structure large and complex proposals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken) and Portuguese.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and technical domains.

Desirable skills

- Previous experience in B2B technical sales or public/private tendering.
- Knowledge of proposal lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with the environmental/biodiversity sector.
- Ability to perform calculations for estimating power consumption, bandwidth, and optical resolution.
