Sales Engineer Intern
Position Overview
As a sales engineer intern at STRIX, you will embark on a structured, six‑month learning journey designed to accelerate your growth in renewable‑energy and biodiversity‑monitoring sales. You’ll gain hands‑on experience qualifying leads, pitching our solutions, and supporting the full sales cycle—both in the office and through occasional on‑site client interactions. Guided by senior sales engineers, you’ll build the skills and confidence to drive real revenue growth. This position is intended as the candidate’s first professional role.
Learning journey & phases
Month 1 - Onboarding & sales methodology:
Dive into STRIX’s consultative‑selling framework, CRM tools and market positioning. Observe
client meetings, review past proposals and master account‑mapping and outreach techniques.
Months 2 to 5 - Lead generation & pipeline management:
Under mentorship, research target companies and decision‑makers, conduct discovery calls,
help draft tailored proposals and manage the CRM to track and forecast opportunities. You’ll
also support marketing campaigns to fuel your pipeline.
Month 6 - Performance, documentation & handover:
Synthesize your achievements into a capstone presentation, document best‑practice workflows
for future interns, and deliver a final report detailing results against revenue goals and
recommendations for process improvements.
Key tasks
Engage prospects through calls and virtual meetings to present STRIX’s solutions.
Draft and refine commercial proposals and presentations that align technical capabilities with client objectives.
Maintain and enrich CRM records to ensure accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting.
Support marketing initiatives—email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach and webinars—to expand market reach.
Assist in contract‑negotiation processes and preparation of client agreements.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Background in Industrial, Electromechanical, Naval, Mechanical Engineering, or
equivalent.
- Interest in renewable‑energy and biodiversity‑monitoring technologies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proactive, organized and comfortable learning in a very fast‑paced commercial
environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and technical domains.
Desirable skills
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar).
- Experience drafting technical or commercial proposals.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales metrics and generate concise reports.
