R&D Engineer
Position Overview
The R&D Engineer will drive innovation in technology development to minimize the environmental impact of renewable energy projects on wildlife and natural habitats. This role requires a creative problem-solver with a strong background in engineering and a passion for sustainability. The R&D Engineer will lead research initiatives, prototype development, and technology testing to develop cutting-edge solutions for biodiversity conservation in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Innovation Lead research and development efforts to design and prototype novel technologies for wildlife monitoring, habitat assessment, and impact mitigation in renewable energy projects. Collaborate with external partners, research institutions, and industry experts to leverage expertise and resources for technology development initiatives.
Prototyping and Testing Develop experimental setups and test protocols to evaluate the performance and efficacy of new technologies in real-world environmental conditions. Analyze experimental data and iterate on design improvements to optimize technology performance and reliability.
Project Collaboration Work closely with project managers, ecologists, and stakeholders to identify technology requirements and integrate innovative solutions into project plans. Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to implementation and monitoring.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical), with a focus
on sustainable design or renewable energy technologies.
- Experience in research and development, preferably in a related field such as
environmental
engineering, renewable energy, or conservation technology.
- Proficiency in CAD software, prototyping tools, and experimental design methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and adapt in a
dynamic research environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in
multidisciplinary teams.
